Amorgos is a hidden gem of the Cyclades offering a balance of tranquility and vibrant energy. In addition to the healing power of the Aegean Sea, Amorgos has a reputation for its high terrestrial magnetism, which can be felt as soon as you step foot on the island.

Experience Amorgos

There are miles of ancient walking trails and just one paved road that connects you to numerous beaches for floating, snorkeling or exploring watery caves. Perhaps best of all, Amorgos is an invitation to experience true Greek culture, with quaint villages and locals who offer friendly hospitality.

The island’s capital features picturesque alleyways, Amorgian boutiques and Cycladic architecture. The nearby Monastery of Hozoviotissa, is the second built church in Greece and one of the most popular national monasteries. The experience is magical, walking up 300 steps to reach the architectural wonder built in the high cliffs, overlooking deep blue waters.

A less visited sacred site, Agios Georgios Valsamitis, was a female monastery during the Byzantine era. A Holy Water spring and a cistern that brings water into the Temple, indicates that this is a place where an ancient water oracle pre-existed.

Time seems fluid here. There is no need to hurry. Days can be spent simply basking in the golden sunlight, lingering by the water, or allowing introspective time for yourself. This island has a way of bringing people back to themselves. Immerse in the Amorgean experience at your own pace.

Be An Explorer

In the coming months, we will introduce more conscious travel destinations. These are opportunities for self-discovery, applying the philosophy and ethics of yoga within a cultural exchange.
