It was on the highest peak of Naxos island that Zeus is said to have claimed his thunderbolt from an eagle and used it take his place among the Olympian Gods. Today that peak is called the “Nose of Za” after Zeus. His son Dionysus, god of wine, was Born here, and the Island’s wine is said to be like divine nectar. possibly because of Dionysus love for the princess Ariadne who was abandoned on Naxos after helping Theseus slay the Minataur.

So journey with us back through time and into nature, where you’ll experience your own true essence on trails through mountainous villages, venetian towers, olive groves and incredible landscapes. Our trek takes us to the old fortified ‘Kastro’ reservation, to ancient temples and abandoned kouros statues, experiencing Greek hospitality and island culture every step of the way.
